Family Matters Roundtable and Brunch
August 6 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm
Each year’s closing Summit event is the Family Matters Roundtable, bringing together a panel of experts in the various aspects of family rights and family life here in the United States.
“It is the goal of the Family Matters Project to protect the fundamental human right to family by eliminating discrimination based on family structure and relationship choices,” says Ricci Levy, Woodhull’s President and CEO. “One way to accomplish this is through conversations; through a focus socially and politically on family rather than any one specific relationship. This roundtable is one of those exciting and important conversations.”
Moderated by Ricci Levy, the Family Matters Roundtable will give Summit attendees the opportunity to discuss important issues that can ensure that all families see justice. Let’s find solutions to outdated policies and ideals on family over Sunday brunch, keeping in mind that everyone has the right to wake up and drink their coffee with whomever they define as their family!
NOTE: Brunch will be served from 10:30am to 11:30am. The Roundtable will begin at approximately 11:30am.
