Nina Esperanza Serrianne has worked on the local, state, and national level working with lawmakers for social change and advocating for reproductive rights and justice and. Nina currently works at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health (NLIRH) as their Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity Policy analyst, protecting the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid coverage, and contraceptive access for Latinxs living in the U.S.
Nina became passionate about Medicaid issues while working at a Planned Parenthood clinic in New York and helping patients access health care coverage. Other highlights of her career include, serving as a Women’s Congressional Policy Institute (WCPI) legislative fellow in the office of Congresswoman Jackie Speier (CA-14) and publishing, America in the Nineties, a survey of the policies and politics of the decade, published by Syracuse University Press (2015).
