Kae Burdo (they/them) is a chaotic good queer, a femme agender enby, a neurodivergent and mentally ill white person, and a generationally poor relationship pluralist. Over the last 12 years, they’ve taught about a number of sex and gender-related topics including HIV/AIDS prevention & safer sex, queer and trans 101, consent & sexual assault prevention, intersectional feminism, and consensual non-monogamy to folk of many ages, including grade schoolers, youth, college students, and adults. Kae tries to help make the world a better place through their work as a writer, community organizer, activist, consultant, event planner, and sex educator, and has an academic background in human rights and international affairs. Their newest projects include launching a website for their sex, gender, and relationship work, as well as starting a wedding and event planning business that caters to poly and queer communities and alternative events. Kae is a member of the Effing Foundation for Sex-Positivity’s Advisory Council, the founder and director of Vermont Ethical Non-Monogamy, and a writer for Bustle’s sex & relationships section.Their past experiences include speaking on VPR’s Vermont Edition with Jane Lindholm, working at an all-natural condom and lubricant company, providing direct services to homeless and at-risk youth, and serving on the board of Vermont Alternative Sexuality Education (VASE).
