Jenna Torres is the Community Organizer for the Red Umbrella Project. She supports individuals impacted by the criminalization of sex work. Growing up in the foster care system, Jenna learned to be self-sufficient at a young age. Since joining the Red Umbrella Project, she has been a fearless defender of sex worker rights. In September 2015, Jenna spoke about her experience as a young black mother in the Human Trafficking Intervention Court System in front of New York City Council, and has built ongoing relationships with City leaders to shine a spotlight on the injustices faced by sex workers.
