Callie Pigeon has been performing burlesque since 2012, when she graduated with an “Associate’s in Ecdysiasm” from the New York School of Burlesque. Finding inspiration in everything from The Bible to dairy products, Callie creates acts that perch demurely at the intersection of “alluring” and “ludicrous”.
She is a frequent guest performer with the hit DC variety show Church Night, and has also appeared in other local revues such as Chocolate Lounge, House of Sweetbottom and The DC Weirdo Show, not to mention dozens of other productions in the District, Maryland, and Virginia. Recently, Callie has taken the burlesque festival circuit by storm, performing in showcases in Vermont, North Carolina, and making her international debut at Montreal’s Bagel Burlesque Expo.
As a producer of high-end low-brow entertainment, Callie has titillated audiences in Annapolis, MD with her “cheeky” burlesque revue, Les Folies Derrière, and has co-produced some of DC’s more off-beat offerings, such as Burlesque Potluck, Conspiratease, Brainy Girl Follies, and Cake In The Breakroom: The Q2 Revue. She was also on the organizing team of the inaugural Capital City Burlesque and Vaudeville Festival.
